Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Movie Postponed

The movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash (機動戦士ガンダム 閃光のハサウェイ ) or Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway scheduled to be released on July 23, 2020, has been postponed due to the spread of Corona Virus in Japan. It is the first in a trilogy of films, based on the novel of the same name. It is part of the “UC NexT 0100” project. The anime film takes place twelve years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.

“Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” was written by Yoshiyuki Tomino and published in 1989 based on the novel of the same name. Bright Noah’s son Hathaway is depicted driving a new mobile suit, Ξ (Kui) Gundam, to rebel against the Earth Federation Government. The director is Osamu Murase , the script is handled by Yasuyuki, and Hathaway Noah is played by Kensho Ono, Gigi Andalusia played by Rena Ueda, and Kenneth Sleg played by Junichi Suwabe.
