The international animation film festival “Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2021 (TAAF2021)” will be held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from March 12 to 15, 2021.

The 8th “Tokyo Anime Award Festival” is a film festival for the purpose of contributing to the promotion of animation culture and industry, including screenings of domestic and foreign invited works, competitions, and workshops. It was scheduled to be held from March 13th to 16th in 2020, but due to the spread of the new Corona Virus infection in Japan, the entire schedule was canceled.
Along with the decision to hold the competition, recruitment for the competition section has also started. The entry condition is that the animation work must be completed after January 1, 2019, regardless of nationality or professional amateur.
In addition, from this year, a new “Student Award” has been established for Japanese students’ works! If the work is by a student of an educational institution in Japan and you meet the other conditions, you can automatically enter by applying for the short animation!
